How Duck Checked makes a match

Research, not product testing

Duck Checked compares published manufacturer and standards evidence. We do not claim to own, use, or test the products in the thermal label printer guide. A result means the documented specifications fit the answers provided; it is not a guarantee of performance or satisfaction.

Eligibility comes before scoring

Required label job, print width, device, connection, sharing, and volume tags are checked first. Missing evidence makes a product ineligible. The system does not give partial credit for a hard requirement and does not loosen an answer to create more results.

Eligible products are ordered with fixed weights: workflow fit 35%, device fit 25%, connection fit 20%, volume fit 10%, and footprint simplicity 10%. The same answers and evidence always return the same order. Price, ratings, reviews, commissions, and visitor history are not inputs.

Evidence and freshness

Every scoring criterion cites an approved claim. Each claim points to a source and verification date. The first printer guide was reviewed on July 23, 2026. A later maintenance system will flag aging evidence and broken links for human review; it will not publish changes on its own.

What analytics never collect

Finder answers remain in the browser for the current calculation. They are not placed in the URL, persisted, or sent to analytics. If the dedicated Duck Checked Google Analytics property is configured and you allow analytics, the site can send only a reviewed outcome-event name and the page pathname. It does not send identity, search text, product text, query strings, free-form text, or finder answers. Google Analytics does receive basic browser, device, session, and approximate location information after consent.
