Working-counter plan ยท Reviewed July 28, 2026

Make the appliance fit the kitchen.

It has to fit while the lid is open, steam is moving, dinner is loaded, parts are wet, and somebody still needs the counter beside it.

Duck measures an open countertop oven under a cabinet beside the outlet, sink, removable parts, and prep space.
Measure it while it is doing the job.The appliance body is only one footprint. Doors, heat, cord reach, dirty parts, and the prep space beside it count too.

Choose the real constraint

Counter space is only the first bill

Permanent counter space is earned

An appliance used five times a week can justify a large footprint. One that needs two batches, twenty minutes of cleanup, and a cabinet move for every use probably cannot.
